I am now 10 weeks and 5 days along. Although I am not really a mother yet, I am enjoying all of the Mother's Day wishes. It is funny how people think of motherhood differently. Some consider you to be a mom while pregnant, and others don't. One of those who does not consider it "my" day is my husband. I woke up this morning to find him gone and I thought to myself, "I bet he has gone to get me something for Mother's Day." So I call his cell and ask where he is and he tells me Wal-Mart. We chat for a minute and hang up the phone. It is really odd for him to be at Wal-Mart at 8:00 in the morning on a Sunday, and I was convinced that he was there for me. I sit and wait for his arrival and when he walks through the door he hands me a case of Cherry 7-Up. I look at him and say, "What is this? Where is my Mother's Day present?" He tells me that I am not a mom until I have the baby. I just started laughing and told him that just means that he is not a daddy on Father's Day then.

My pregnancy has been going great. I have had little morning sickness (besides my episode in Red Lobster the other day) and for the most part, I have been feeling pretty good. However, I could not be more ready for summer to be here! I am counting down the days. I fully think that I am way more ready for summer than any of my kids. Everyday gets a little harder to teach. I am excited about next week because we have our field trip to Millards Crossing and Friday is Field Day. I am not completely excited about Field Day but at least it is a day of not being in my classroom teaching.

14 days of school left! Whoo Hoo!

7 weeks and 4 days

I have to say that I am feeling very nauseated today. I have been feeling pretty good but today is a yuck day. My husband did try to make me feel better by cooking me chicken spaghetti for lunch. Chicken spaghetti was all that I could talk about yesterday, so this morning when I woke up, we was slaving away at it. We also had a talk yesterday about how I think the baby is a boy. So when he went to Wal-Mart to buy the things to make my lunch, he picked up two little boy outfits, some socks, a cute bag, and a box of diapers. I thought it was so sweet.

We went for our first ultrasound on the 14th. I measured exactly 7 weeks. The baby was the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen. We were able to see the heartbeat. I was 133 bmp. My next appointment is on the 30th. It will be my first prenatal appointment. I am very excited. Hopefully everything will go smoothly.

I will update you all later.

6 weeks and 2 days

After 9 long months, we are finally having a baby. Our trying to conceive journey was longer than expected but extremely worth the two solid lines on the test. I am now 6 weeks and 2 days according to my calculations and due December 3rd. I have had little symptoms, but the nausea has defiantly made itself known today. As strange as it sounds, I find the uncomfortable symptoms comforting because I have waited so long to experience them. I go for my first ultrasound on Tuesday, the 14th. I am praying to see a strong heartbeat.

Everything is going great so far. We could not be more blessed or excited.
